Modification and reliability enhancement of the Kongsberg DP2 system on board Glomar Supporter.

The project was driven by charterer’s requirements for increased system redundancy and operational safety.

Elektro-Plus executed complete system reconfiguration, testing protocols, and FMEA trials ensuring compliance with DP2 classification requirements.

1. Power Management System Reconfiguration
Adaptation of PMS (Power Management System) to new DP2 configuration requirements:

Integration with modified DP2 architecture
Reconfiguration of power distribution topology

2. Third Wind Sensor Installation
Enhancement of environmental monitoring system:

Installation of additional ultrasonic wind sensor
Integration with Kongsberg DP system

3. Emergency Stop System Modification
Redesign of emergency shutdown control architecture:

Modification of ESD (Emergency Shutdown) control lines
Implementation of redundant ESD pathways

4. Thermographic Audit
Comprehensive thermal imaging inspection of electrical systems:

High-voltage switchboard thermal analysis
Cable termination points inspection

5. Network Storm Testing
Verification of network resilience under extreme conditions:

Simulation of network flooding scenarios
Bandwidth saturation testing
